| As with many male college cheerleaders it started when I was in class with this monster of a guy named Tim. He was 6'5" and weighing
around 265lbs. So needless to say nobody really picked on him that much about cheerleading. As well I worked with a girl that
cheered for Marshall. They both at separate times asked me to come and try it out. I was hesitant like most but then I thought what
the heck I am just as strong if not stronger than most of the guys on the team. Well, being strong helped out but the technique and
coordination to balance a human being in your hands is a lot different than a barbell! After the first 2 weeks I was holding liberties
and tossing straight to extension. Then it all flourished from there. Our assitant coach at the time was a sales rep for CDT so he
told me I should to tryout for NCA. Mind you that I had only cheered right at 1 year. After sending in my tape and application
they hired me. I went to this staff meeting where some of the best instructors in world gather! One can only imagine how intimidated
I was but everyone accepted me and now I run camps as a Head Instructor and work many events as an Event Crew member. I have worked
hard to get where I am today and many many many people have helped me get to where I am in my cheerleading career. So, I feel
obligated to work all year round helping make this community better and bigger!
